Eestis on hulgaliselt mahajäetud ja hävimisohus hooneid, mis satuvad harva uurijate pilgu alla ning ka siis pigem ajaloolises või arhitektuuritüpoloogilises vaates. Hoolimata sellest, et valdavalt on tegemist argiste hoonetega, peitub neis sageli tähelepanuväärset informatsiooni siseviimistlus- ja ruumikujundusviiside kohta. Minu lõputöö eesmärgiks ongi dokumenteerida seda kaduvat argipärandi osa, mille moodustavad peamiselt trafarett- ja rullmustrid ning seinte erinevad värvilahendused. Annan oma lõputöös ülevaate teemaga haakuvatest varasematest uurimustest, projektidest ja ettevõtmistest, tutvustan ja analüüsin aastatel 2021–2023 tehtud välitööde tulemusi ning asetan need laiemasse ajaloolise interjööri uurimise konteksti.
There are many abandoned and endangered buildings in Estonia, which rarely come under the gaze of researchers, and even then rather in a historical or architectural typological view. Despite the fact that they are mostly mundane buildings, they often contain remarkable information about interior decoration and room design methods. The aim of my final project is to document this disappearing part of everyday heritage, which is mainly made up of stencil and roller patterns and different color schemes on the walls. In my final project, I will provide an overview of previous research, projects and initiatives related to the topic, introduce and analyze the results of the fieldwork carried out in 2021-2023, and place them in the broader context of historical interior research.
