Loon maaliseeria, kus igal maalil kujutan üht tunnetuslikku hallala Valga linnas. Samuti dokumenteerin loomeprotsessi erinevaid etappe.
In my final project, I turn my gaze toward grey areas that usually go unnoticed while moving through the city. These places are necessary for everyday life and are often passed through, yet they remain visually in the background. I am interested in the border zone between city and nature, where one can simultaneously sense human presence, the wildness of nature, and the wearing down of materials. In the course of the work, I examine for myself the concept of “non-place” and how people experience urban space, as well as what shapes the identity of a place.
I am creating a painting series in which each painting depicts one perceptual grey area in the city of Valga. In the paintings, I combine different viewpoints and fragments from these places, so that each painting gives rise to a new kind of “non-place”. I also document the different stages of the creative process.
