Lasteraamat „Eneseloom“ räägib tüdrukust nimega Mai ja tema ustavast korgi tõugu koerast, kes asub seiklusrikkale teekonnale, et päästa omanik eneselooma eest. Teel kohtub korgi mitme värvika tegelasega, kes teda aitavad. Lõpptulemusena valmib küljendatud ja illustreeritud lasteraamat.
Uurimuslikus osas käsitlesin illustratsioonide olulisust lasteraamatutes ning visuaalse jutustuse rolli, samuti teksti ja pildi kooskõla tähtsust, mis aitavad luua lugejale raamatust parema arusaama. Praktilises osas tutvustasin raamatu loomise protsessi, alustades jutu kirjutamise ideest ja inspiratsiooni allikatest ning lõpetades raamatu trükimaterjalide ja illustratsioonide loomise ja valimisega.
The children’s book “Inner Beast” tells the story of a girl named Mai and her loyal corgi dog, who embarks on an adventurous journey to save Mai from her inner beast. Along the way, the corgi encounters several colourful characters who help him. The result is a formatted and illustrated children’s book.
In the research part, I addressed the importance of illustrations in children’s books and the role of visual storytelling, as well as the significance of the harmony between text and images, which help create a better understanding of the book for the reader. In the practical part, I introduced the process of creating the book, starting from the idea and inspiration for writing the story and ending with the creation and selection of printing materials and illustrations.
