Olen käsitaftingtehnoloogiaga kokku puutunud mitmes varasemas projektis. Positiivsetest kogemustest ja süvenevast huvist ajendatult soovin lõputöös edasi uurida narmaliste pindade interjööris kasutamise võimalusi.
Keskendun töös käsitaftingtehnoloogia kasutamise hetkeseisule disainimaailmas, toon näiteid disainerite loomingust ning uurin, kuidas taftitud pinnad interjööri omadusi ja selles viibijaid mõjutavad. Teen katsetusi kollaažtehnikas illustratsioonide põhjal loodud abstraktse visuaali viimiseks materjali, et leida oma idee teostamiseks sobiv vorm ja materjal. Minu eesmärk on luua mitme funktsiooniga sisustustoode, mis suurendab kasutaja kontakti narmalise pinnaga. Toote loomisel teen koostööd Eesti vaibaettevõttega Valley.
I have been exposed to hand tufting technology in several previous projects. Driven by positive experiences and my growing interest, I would like to further explore the possibilities of using fringed surfaces in the interior.
I focus on the current state of the use of hand tufting technology in the design world, give examples from the work of designers and study how tufted surfaces affect the properties of the interior and its occupants. I experiment with incorporating an abstract visual based on illustrations created with collage technique into a material, in order to find a suitable form and material to carry out my idea. My goal is to create a multi- functional interior design product that increases the user’s contact with a fringed surface. The creation of the product is done in collaboration with the Estonian carpet company Valley.
