Disainiöö on Eesti suurim disainialane festival, mille alateemaks on 2021. aastal SOS-disain, elupäästev erakorraline disain. Lõputöö eesmärgiks on selgitada erakorralise disaini olemust ning luua selle põhjal festivalile visuaalne identiteet.

Teoreetilises osas käsitletakse eriolukordadeks ja eriolukorra ajal disainimise erinevusi tavapärasega võrreldes. Praktilise tööna valminud visuaalne identiteet aitab festivaliga seonduvat üheselt kommunikeerida ja ära tunda.

Eriolukorra tingimustes disainimine on seoses Covid-19 pandeemiaga aktuaalne ja oluline. Üleilmseid probleeme, mida disaini kaasabil lahendada saab, on lisaks viiruselevikule palju: kliimasoojenemine, energiakriis, ressursside puudus jne.

The aim of the thesis was to create a visual identity for XVI Tallinn Design Festival.

The festival‘s theme, SOS Design was the motive to study emergency design in the theoretical part of the work. The main question is whether designing in times of crisis or for it differs fundamentally from designing in normal conditions. The work examines designing for emergencies and how the field of design will look like in near future.

The visual identity is inspired by the festival‘s theme. It gives a solid framework and conveys the message of design as a global problem solver. The identity brings novelty, helps to keep the communication effective and recognizable. It strengthens the brand and supports the festival in achieving its goals.
