Idee luua lõputööks mantlite kollektsioon „Karjus” sündis Ungaris. Õppisin vahetustudengina viimase sügissemestri Budapestis, MOME ülikoolis. Seal olles tutvusin Ungari rahvarõivastega. Olin neist täielikult lummatud! Otsustasin läbi enese disainitunnetuse tutvustada üht oma lemmikut, mantlit szür, ka kodumaal.
Loon kollektsiooni „Karjus” mantlid, kasutades villaseid kangaid taaskasutusest. Ühtlust toob minu loodud märgiline muster, mis on kantud kangastele trükkides ja tikkides.
Püüan lahendada küsimust, kas kõrgmoega on võimalik maailma päästa? Kuidas luua eksklusiivset kollektsiooni kasutades taaskasutatud materjale? Kas väheste vahendite ning minimaalse eelarvega saab üldse luua luksuslikku toodet?
The idea to create a coat collection “Karjus” (“Shepherd”) for the final work was born in Hungary. I spent the last autumn semester in Budapest, at the MOME University as an exchange student. During that period I examined the Hungarian national costumes. I was completely amazed! Through my personal perception of design I decided to introduce one of my favourite clothing, the coat szür, also in my homeland.
I create coats for the collection “Karjus”, by using woollen reusable fabrics. Aesthetical consistency is added by the symbolic pattern that is my creation and that is transferred to the fabrics by print or embroidery.
I try to answer the question whether it is possible to save the world with high-fashion? How to create an exclusive collection while using recyclable materials? Whether it is even possible to create a luxurious product with few resources and a minimum budget?
