Lõputöö praktilise osana valmis seinamaaling Ihamaru Meemaja fassaadile.
The relationship between people and plants is long and multifaceted. Particularly intriguing is the history of using medicinal herbs, which extends from mysticism and superstition to sciences. One common point between these two very different approaches to the world of plants is art, on which I focus on in the written part of my final project. Plant illustrations are still an invaluable tool for learning about plants and they provide an opportunity to present their most characteristic qualities. In visual arts, plants are also one of the most popular themes.
For the practical part of the final project, a wall panting was completed for the facade of Ihamaru Meemaja. The house is used for organising exhibitions and training sessions. There is a garden rich in species of medicinal herbs in the backyard. That was the main source of inspiration in creating the design for the wall painting.
