Minu lõputöö eesmärk on eksperimenteerida mustripindadega, mis on tekkinud valguse ja varju koosmõjul. Kombineerides taimemotiive kanga pinnal, soovin edasi anda varjudele iseloomulikku juhuslikkust, ebapüsivust ja haprust. Mustrite eksponeerimisel olen aluseks võtnud Jaapani kimonolõike, mida olen lihtsustanud ja kaasajastanud. Leian, et kimono „lõuendina“ võimaldab hästi edasi anda varjudele omast õhulist ja ruumilist üldmuljet.
The aim of my final work is to experiment with pattern surfaces that emerge through the combination of light and shadow. By combining plant motifs on the fabric, I wish to pass on the randomness, instability and fragility characteristic to shadows. I have chosen the Japanese kimono pattern, which I have simplified and modernised, for exhibiting the patterns. I find that the kimono as a canvas enables to convey the general airy and spatial impression characteristic to shadows.
