Lõputööna valmis moekollektsioon „ütle.mata“, mis on tõlgendus Jan Guillou’ noorteromaanist „Kurjus“ ning samanimelisest Endla teatri lavastusest. Jagan romaani viieks eriilmeliseks osaks, mis kajastavad peategelase elu lapsepõlvest kuni kooli lõpetamiseni. Tõlgin need osad kujundikeelde, mis on sisendiks rõivavormide loomisel. Mis kuju on hirmul? Vägivallal? Kehastunud kurjusel? Aga lootusel ja vabadusel?
Tunnete väljendamise üheks peamiseks materjaliks on lavastuse PVC-bänner. Tööprotsessi käigus otsisin võimalusi, kuidas materjal saaks loo edasiandmist toetada – kuidas sellest emotsioon välja voltida, rebida, lõigata, õmmelda…
Actors tell stories using their bodies, writers using words. But how can this be done through material?
As my final project, I created the fashion collection “ütle.mata”, which is an interpretation of Jan Guillou’s young adult novel Evil and the Endla Theatre production of the same title. I divide the novel into five distinct parts, reflecting the protagonist’s life from childhood until graduation from school. I translate these parts into a language of images that serves as basis for creating garment forms. What shape does fear have? Violence? Embodied evil? What about hope and freedom?
