Polo on traditsiooniline hobuse seljas mängitav spordiala, mille eesmärk on lüüa pall polokepiga vastasmeeskonna väravasse. Lõputöö raames valmis visuaalne identiteet, Eesti esimesele pologa tegelevale klubile – Aunaku poloklubile. Töö käigus lõin Eesti disainimaastikule piktogrammi ja märgisüsteemi, mida varem ei ole kasutatud. Lõputöö teoreetilises osas uurisin eeltööna tegutsevate poloklubide logosid ja sümboolikat, et saada ülevaade konkurentidest ja korduvatest motiividest. Peale selle uurisin ka polo kui spordiala päritolu.
Praktilises osas lõin Aunaku poloklubile visuaalse identiteedi koos stiiliraamatuga, kus on lahti seletatud logo, värvide ja mustrite kasutus erinevate mallide näitel.
Polo is a traditional sport played on horseback, the aim of which is to hit a ball into the opposing team’s goal with a mallet. As part of the final project, a visual identity was created for Estonia’s first polo club — Aunaku Polo Club. In the process, I created a pictogram and sign system for the Estonian design landscape that had not been used before. In the theoretical part of the final project, I conducted preliminary research into the logos and symbolism of existing polo clubs to gain an overview of competitors and recurring motifs. In addition, I also researched the origins of polo as a sport.
In the practical part, I created a visual identity for Aunaku Polo Club together with a style guide explaining the use of the logo, colours, and patterns through various template examples.
