Minu lõputööks on Tartu Ülikooli kunstimuuseumi kogudest pärit Karl Eduard von Lipharti vanagraafika kollektsiooni kuuluva nelja graafikakarbi konserveerimine. Karbid on segamaterjalist: puit, paber, tekstiil, nahk ja metall.
Kirjalikus osas tutvustan objektide ajalugu, materjalide omadusi ja vananemisest tingitud muutusi ning selgitan, millest lähtuda segamaterjalist objektide konserveerimisel.
My thesis involves the conservation of solander boxes from the old print collection of Karl Eduard von Liphart, housed in the University of Tartu Art Museum. These boxes are made of mixed materials: wood, paper, textile, leather and metal.
In the written part, I introduce the history of the objects, the properties of the materials used, and the changes resulting from aging. I explain what to consider in the conservation of objects made from mixed materials.
