Lõputöö eesmärk oli luua muusikavideo Eesti funk-ansambli Funcle loole „Happy Together“. Muusikavideo koosneb nii animeeritud kui ka filmitud materjalist. Animeerimiseks kasutasin rotoskoopimise tehnikat. Video süžee on funk-muusikale omaselt lõbus ja isegi natuke absurdne – ansambli solisti peegelpilt tõmbab ta fantaasiamaailma, et näidata, kuidas väärtustada koosolemist ja aja mahavõtmist.
Kirjalikus osas andsin ülevaate rotoskoopimise ajaloost ning uurisin selle tehnika piire ja võimalusi.
The aim of my thesis was to create a music video for the Estonian funk band Funcle’s song “Happy Together”. The music video consists of both animated and filmed material. For animation, I used the rotoscoping technique. The plot of the video is typically fun and even a bit absurd, fitting the funk music style – the reflection of the band’s lead singer pulls him into a fantasy world to illustrate the importance of togetherness and taking time off.
In the written part, I provided an overview of the history of rotoscoping and explored the limits and possibilities of this technique.
