Kõrgemas Kunstikoolis Pallas õppides olen leidnud kaks kirge – animatsiooni ja trükikunsti. Otsustasin need lõputöös ühendada, et illustreerida oma seisukohta tsüklis kinni olemisest. Selleks valmis linoollõike tehnikas ringanimatsioon „Tsükkel“, kus iga kaader on käsitsi lõigatud ja kahe värviga trükitud tõmmis.
Töö teoreetilises osas andsin ülevaate illustratsioonist ja animatsioonist ning uurisin animeeritud illustratsiooni. Praktilises osas kirjeldasin illustratsiooni loomise ja animeerimise protsessi.
Lõputööde näitusel esitlesin kõrvuti tõmmiseid ja valminud animatsiooni, et illustreerida tsüklis olemise kontseptsiooni ja anda aimu käsitsi kaaderhaaval loodud animatsioonide töömahust.
While studying at Pallas, I have discovered two passions – animation and printmaking. I decided to combine them in my final project to illustrate my perspective on being stuck in a cycle. To illustrate this, I created a linocut animation titled “Cycle,” where each frame is hand-carved and printed in two colours.
In the theoretical part of my work, I provided an overview of illustration and animation and explored the concept of animated illustration. In the practical part, I described the process of creating the illustration and animation.
At the exhibition, I presented prints alongside the completed animation to illustrate the concept of being stuck in a cycle and to give an idea of the labour-intensive process of creating handcrafted frame-by-frame animations.
