Mind on juba paar aastat huvitanud, milline seos on juhusel maalimise protsessiga. Oma töös otsin juhuse piire, võimalikkust, ulatust ja suhet maaliga. Usun, et pea igas maalis on mingil määral sees juhuslikkus, kuid selle töö raames huvitavad mind need tehnikad ja meetodid, mis hõlmavad endas juhuslikkust võimalikult suurel määral. Uurin varem kasutusel olnud maalivõtteid, kus juhuslikkus mängib suurt rolli ning püüan ka ise märgata ja kasutada mulle juhuslikult ette jäävaid materjale ja inspiratsiooniallikaid. Eksperimenteerin nende tehnikate ja juhusega ning loon sellest maaliteose, mis näitab minu kui kunstniku ja juhuse koostööd ning avab allikad, kus juhus end maalikunstis peidab.
For a few years now, I have been interested in what chance has to do with the process of painting. In my work, I look for the limits of chance, possibility, their scope and relationship with the painting. I believe that there is chance in almost every painting to some extent, but in this work I am interested in those techniques and methods that incorporate chance as much as possible. I study previously used painting techniques, where chance plays a big role, and I also try to notice and use the materials and sources of inspiration that come to me by chance. I experiment with these techniques and chance and create a painting from it that shows the collaboration between me as an artist and chance and opens the sources where chance hides itself in painting.
