Lõputöö käigus on proovitud eraldada teineteisest ajaloolise kitarriehituse põhjendatud teesid ja pimedad uskumused, esimesi järgides ja teisi kõrvale heites. Tulemuseks valmis eksperimentaalne akustiline kitarr, kus rõhku on pandud mängumugavusele ja konstruktsiooni vastupidavusele. Ära on unustatud kitarri kõlakasti ebameeldivalt teravad servad, uuest suunast on lähenetud kõlalaua toestuse problemaatikale ja ümber on mõtestatud kõlakasti külgede strukturaalne funktsioon. Kõike seda eesmärgiga murda põlist rahvalikku tõdemust, et uus on alati hullem.
In this final thesis I have attempted to separate the justified propositions and blind beliefs of historical guitar construction, following the former and discarding the others. The result is an experimental acoustic guitar with an emphasis on playing comfort and structural durability. The unpleasantly sharp edges of the guitar sound box have been forgotten, the problem of soundboard support has been approached from a new angle, and the structural function of the sides of the sound box has been rethought. All this with the aim of breaking the ancient folk notion that the new must always be worse.
