Mustrite paigutamine rõivastele annab kandjale võimaluse end väljendada ning disainerile vabaduse keha kujutist muuta ja seeläbi kandja enesehinnangut tõsta. Uurin lõputöös erinevate moekunstnike illusioone loovaid mustreid.
Loon viiest mustrist koosneva kollektsiooni, mille paigutamisel kehale muudan tavapärast siluetti. Keha visuaaliga mängimisel valmib moekollektsioon „Patterned Mindset“, mis seab küsimärgi alla keha tajumise mustrite kaudu ja silueti kuju esteetilisuse. Keha moondamine lisab riietusele põnevust ja sügavust, sest näitab nii individuaalsust kui ka hetkeemotsiooni.
The world of patterns is bright and colourful, and it often engulfs me from my one-dimensional everyday life. What could be the role of patterns in contemporary design?
Placing patterns on clothing allows the wearer to express themselves and gives designer the freedom to change the shape of the body and thereby raise wearer’s self-esteem. In my final thesis, I studied different fashion designers, who have created illusional patterns.
I created a collection of five patterns, which, when placed on the body, change the usual silhouette. The fashion collection “Patterned Mindset” was completed while playing with the visual of a body. It calls into question the perception of a body through patterns and the aesthetics of the shape of a silhouette. Changing body’s appearance adds excitement and depth to the clothing, as it shows both individuality and the current emotion.
